QUESTION: my 04 nissa sentra just quit running like you turned off the fuel. I let it sit about 20min and it starts then driveing for a few mins and it stops again. Can you help?

ANSWER: Hi Dewey -

I would replace the ignition module located in the distributor. When the engine gets a little hot it tends to short out until it gets cooled off a little.

Are you getting any CEL (check engine light)?

QUESTION: yes I am getting the CEL it didnt start until I got it to restart the first time. Is this something I can do? (Ignition module)

Hi Dewey -

The best thing to do is to do the OBD (on board diagnosis) using the computer access. Can be found at an Autozone, or most repair shops. That will tell you exactly what the issue(s) are, as it could be quite a few, ranging from Crankshaft sensors, MAP sensor, etc.

From there we can tailor the repair.
