Nissan Repair: 2001 chokes when driving with no acceration loan, fuel pressure gauge, mass airflow sensor

Question
I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse.  It idle good, and accelerates fair, but when at a constant speed (no load) it will choke hard and then catch itself again.  This happens at any speed, when cold or warm.

Answer
Jason,

I would check the fuel pump relay and if you have a fuel pressure gauge hook it up and tape the gauge to the windshield and see if the pressure drops when the car stumbles.  If it does then you know it is either the pump or relay.  If not, then it is electrical.  I would be checking the mass airflow sensor and the throttle position switch.
