Nissan Repair: Wipers will not work, 2004 nissan maxima, nissan maxima

Question
I have a 2004 Nissan Maxima SL and the wiper blades will not work.  Is this a fuse or something bigger?  Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

If there is no noise when you turn the wipers on then I would be looking at the fuse.  Next would be the switch or the timed delay.  Otherwise it is the motor itself.  Second, if there is noise and the wipers do not move the linkage has come off under the cowl.  This is where the wiper arms connect to the motor.
