Nissan Repair: intermittent heat, nissan altima, heater control valve

1995 nissan altima i just replaced t-stat and i have intermittent heat does not get really hot and goes to cold with out changing temp setting ?

Hi jr -

I assume you are speaking of your heater in your car?

If so, check your heater control valve. This is located on your heater hose run, should be near the firewall where it enters the inside of the car. Perhaps it is hanging up somehow, or not maintaining the vacuum.
