Nissan Repair: electrical, fuse blows, stop lamp

i have a 91 240sx auto..i seem to have a problem with my stomp lamp fuse.i took it out because it wont turn my corner lights off.But i cannot changegear because the button wont work,not unless i turn my lights on then that when im able to switch gear.im not sure if its grounded or wire problem...

If the stop lamp fuse blows and you have removed the fuse the shift interlock will not work due to safety feature.  I would first check to see that the brake lights work with no exterior lights on.  If that is not the case the headligth switch will need to be replaced to correct the problem.
