Nissan Repair: Headlight Problem and Squeaking Brakes, squeaking brakes, beam headlights

Question
I have a 95' Nissan Maxima and and low beam headlights are out but my high beams are working fine. I replaced both light bulb but that does not seem to be the problem. What is wrong with them and how can I fix it?

My brakes squeal when I press down on them at low speeds, how can I fix this problem

If anybody has an answer to this question, it would be very helpful

Thanks

Answer
Hi Casana -

If you replaced both headlights then it must be the headlight switch. If you have a means to check power at the headlight terminal, ensure that there is voltage at the bulb when the headlights are on. If there is no power, replace the switch on the steering column and you should be good to go.

The brakes need servicing. Pads squeal when they are loose in the caliper. They need to be taken apart and inspected, cleaned, and caliper contact areas greased. Also check the hardware kit for breakage.

Hope this helps -
