Question
hi i have a Nissan pulsar n15 sr20de yesterday my mate came over to install
a air/fuel ratio gauge witch has to be connected to the ignition switch he said
that he was almost done and tried to turn over the engine but nothing
happened,i went back through the wiring with he to find he had cut a thick
green wire in the ignition connection to connect the two 12v wires to that
power the gauge i reconnected the wire by soldering it back together but still
nothing . Is this still why the car wont start or could it be something else  ??

Answer
Nathan,

Yes, The cutting of the wire probably shorted the fuses to the ignition and the fuel injection.  I would check the ignition fuses and relays to make sure all are in working order.  The fuses are under the dash and the relays are under the hood.
