QUESTION: I am speaking of the front hub bearings.

Answer
Hi Randy -

First of all, the entire hub assembly has to be removed by removing the steering linkage (tie rod end). The axle nut must be removed, as well as the lower control arm nut, and the strut connection at the hub. Some of these joints have to be separated using a spreader and a hammer.

Once the assembly is removed, you will need a special press to remove the bearing. You may take the entire hub to a machine shop with the new bearing and they will replace it for you.

Once the bearing is replaced, re-assembly is opposite of removal.

Hope this helps -
