Nissan Repair: nissan frontier power window, nissan frontier, jumper wires

Question
I have a 200 nissan frontier, the drivers side window is stuck down. How do I tell if it is a window motor or a switch problem.? If it is the switch how do I override the switch to bring the window up?

Usually it is the switch.  But, you could hot wire the motor to see if the window will go up.  You will have to remove the door panel and hot wire the motor to ge the window motor to run the window up.  One way is up and the other is down.  Just a matter of reversing polarity of the jumper wires you are using.  If the motor does not work replace the switch.
