Pontiac Repair: 1998 Pontiac Transport, blown head gasket, blower motor resistor

Question
First our heat/ac stopped working, and now the engine is making a ticking sound, what could have caused this and are these two issues related?

Answer
Hi Tricia:

No heat in July??? did the blower motor cut out or did you actually loose heat?

if it's a blower motor issue chances are it's just the blower motor resistor burnt out and that is why the blower motor stopped working. usually you loose the lower speeds first then the hi speed goes out. ig it just stopped working altotheger thne it could be a bad motor. If you lost the heat it's self the engine could be low on coolant and that could alos lead to your ticking noise if it is leaking coolant into the engine crank case and the coolant is mixing with the engine oil. NOT GOOD! it could be a bad intake manifold gasket or worse a blown head gasket.. other then that the 2 problems are un related. good luck :)
