Nissan Repair: water pump replacement, water pump replacement, nissan pathfinder

Ok... I have 97 nissan pathfinder in good condition but i need to replace the water pump. is there any way to bi pass the hyrmonic balancer pully or do i have to take it off to get to the pump? and if so where can i find the puller set to take it off?

Hi Bryan -

Yes, the balancer must be removed. However sometimes after removing the center bolt, you can just rock it back and forth free. If not, a puller can be purchased at any auto parts store such as NAPA or Checkers.
