Nissan Repair: nissan 94 chugs( jerks) at low speeds, chugs, presense

I have a Nissan 94 automatic j30 it chugs a slight jerking below 40 mph.

Check the distributor for the presense of oil on the optical shutter wheel and pickup.  These are located under the distributor cover.  You will have to remove the cap, rotor and rotor post.  The rotor post is attached with a screw that is accessed through the center of the post that the rotor attaches to.  Then, the two screws that hold the cover on and under it is the optical shutter wheel.  Oil contaminates the works and that causes missing.  A rebuilt distributor is in order if oil is found.  Email me back if you need more.
