Nissan Repair: 2005 Nissan Frontier 4WD 4l., 2005 nissan frontier, emergency brakes

I just bought a 2005 frontier 4wd pickup with the 4 l engine. It runs very smooth, except when sitting at idle.I then notice a vibration,that goes away on acceleration. I notice a dent on the oil pan,no oil leak,and am wondering if the rubbber engine mount is bad. Any answers.

Hi Dave -

You are correct. It could very well be the engine (or transmission) mounts. Is your vehicle manual shift? If so, put your emergency brakes on and place it in 1st gear. Release the clutch slowly until you feel the resistance and see if the vibration goes away. Repeat in reverse.

If you have automatic, simply put it in gear.

If the vibration goes away, then replace the mounts.
