Question
what is the rpm for? i know when car is cold i c it a 1500 once warm it goes beloww 1000.. i need to kno about that is that correct? i noticed recently it idles a little high i just had sensors changed does that have anything to do with it? i have auto start dont use it much but when i do alarm goes off car car is idling high

Answer
Diane,

The idle is high when the car is cold to allow it to run.  When it reaches operating temperature the car idles down.  This is within normal operating parameters.  The alarm coing off with a remote start feature would tell me that they are not disarming the alarm feature as part of the auto-start.  I would take it to the shop that wired it up and show it to them.  Otherwise, you will have to disable the factory alarm to keep it from going off when the remote start is activated.  The factory alarm and the remote start are two different systems.  If the alarm you are referring to is an aftermarket alarm then it would need to be programmed to disable the alarm as part of the auto-start feature.
