Nissan Repair: Car will not start/turnover, remote starter, snow storm

Question
Hi there.  First of all, I have tried to look through all the previous answers to see if I could get a solution before asking my question but I didn't exactly find what I was looking for.  Second of all, thank you very much in advance for you volunteering your time to answer my question.

Exactly one week ago from today there was a very bad snow storm and I got stuck in the snow and somehow managed to get myself out.  Later that evening when I was leaving the store my car wouldn't start or turnover.  The radio would turn on and all the lights would work.  My fiance installed a remote starter when I first purchased the car in 2006.  He changed out one of the relays and it miracuously worked!  Now exactly one week later, the car did the same exact thing again.  He checked the inhibit relay (but wasn't quite sure if we checked it correctly) and all the wiring which all seems to be fine.  We aren't exactly sure if this is the starter causing these problems or something else.  Also, we weren't able to locate the starter to take a look at it and see if that could potentially be the problem.

Once again, thanks in advance!

Answer
Jessica,

I do not know the model of your car.  But, to check the starter you could bridge the starter and see if it starts.   A length of wire will allow the starter to turn over.  If it is a manual make sure it is in neutral to be safe and block the tires and set the brake.  Now, if a relay was replaced and the car ran for a week.  Try it again before you bridge the starter.
