Nissan Repair: 2003 Nissan Sentra - Heat only comes on at level 4., nissan sentra, haynes manual

I started my car up to warm it up a few days ago and got caught up doing something. Did not get back to it for 30 minutes while heat was on full. I can no longer turn my heat on to level 1-2-3 nothing comes out. As soon as I turn it to 4, it blasts heat... Any ideas what could cause this?

The blower resistor, located on the passenger side of the dash, under the dash, behind the glovebox, is the problem.  There are resistors that are soldered together and when the blower motor is switched to different speeds this resistor cluster changes the blower speed.  After several years they burn out and need to be replaced.  Any parts store should have one and it is a simple installation.  Get a Haynes Manual for $20 bucks and the resistor cluster for the blower.
