Nissan Repair: Nissan 300zx intake leak.., nissan fairlady, nissan 300zx

I want to buy a Nissan Fairlady, and the one I saw
on Craigslist.org has an intake leak, and I have already made a mistake buying a vehicle without completely understanding it's condition, so I need to know how bad an intake leak is??

Hi Luke -

"Intake Leak" to me could be a vaccuum leak, or a bad intake valve. Either way, it sounds fishy (expensive) to me. If it was something simple, I would assume the existing owner would fix it before selling it to increase the value.

This could be many things. I would call and ask to see the vehicle, maybe take a compression test to determine if the valves are holding compression.
