Land Rover Repair: 2007 Range Rover HSE Wont Start, range rover hse, 2007 range rover hse

Question
My wife was running around yesterday and went into a store.  When she came out 25 mins later the Rover wouldnt start. (The auto crank engaged and tried for the 5 or 6 second duration with no turnover)  While I was on my way to her (about 1-1.5 hours later) my brother happened to be closer and went to see if he could help.  He went to the vehicle and it started right up.  My wife drove home directly and said there seemed to be no problem.  I went out to the vehicle and started it up 2 times with no problem.

This morning she went out to go somewhere and no it will not start again.  It again, autocranks for the 5 or 6 second duration but will not turnover.

I have checked the battery, which seems fine and has sufficient juice.
I have disconnected all terminals in hopes of a reset.  Nothing still.

I am thinking fuel pump or fuel filter since it happened so suddenly.  Your advice appreciated.

Answer
If I were to guess I'd say a failing crank sensor is the most likely culprit.  I suggest you check to see if there are any stored fault codes that may shed light on the situation.  If you want to throw parts at it yourself the crank sensor is where I would start, for sure . . .  not the fuel pump or filter
