Nissan Repair: A/C COMPRESSOR, radiator fan motor, condenser fan motor

Question
QUESTION: My air condition stop working on my 1998 Nissan 200sx. The A/C condenser fan motor stop working, so I replaced it.  Now the A/C condenser fan motor only works when the radiator fan motor turns on.  The compressor does not come on, but direct power to the compressor turns it on. There is no power input when you press the a/c button from within side the car.  What could lead to this problem.  All was working fine before I changed out the A/C condenser fan motor.

ANSWER: Curtis,

I would check the system pressures.  If the system is low on refrigerant the compressor will not come on.  Otherwise, there is a relay that turns on the compressor.

QUESTION: AS I stated early with additional info requested, I Already checked the compressor with outside power and it worked.  Also, I had added refrigerant because it was low and it still does not work.

Answer
Curtis,

If the compressor does not work, then you need to check the pressure switch that allows the compressor to operate and if the pressure switch is good, bridge the plug with a wire to get the compressor to come on, then check the compressor relay, sounds like the relay to me sinc eyou say the fan does not come when the compressor is activated (commanded).  You see, when the airconditioner is turned on it closes a relay that activates both the fan and the compressor.  No power to either would mean the relay of the switch inside the vehicle is defective.  I say this since the fan should come on regardless of the compressor.  This is due to the fact that the compressor feed is run through the pressure switch I described earlier.
