Nissan Repair: Winter condition problem????, 1997 chevrolet cavalier, chevrolet cavalier

I have a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier z24 not a Nissan. I hope you can still help me.

I was driving home and i stopped at a friends for 2 minutes.
I started the car after and it ran very ruff and stalled.
I tried again and again but i got the same result.
The car was running perfect before this happened.
It is very cold where i live. I was told by my friend that it could be the fuel lines froze. I had very little gas, less than quarter tank. Could that be the problem? and please let me know what you think?

First, I would put five gallons of premium in the car with a fuel additive like STP or 104 octain boost.  Then, crank the car and see how it does.  If the car was low on gas this might be the fix. However, if you have not done a tune up in a while, like two years, I would be looking at plugs and wires as a minimum.  Email me back if you need more.
