Nissan Repair: TRANSMISSION XTERRA, 2004 nissan xterra, nissan xterra

Question
I DRIVE A 2004 NISSAN XTERRA, WHEN I PUT THE SHIFTER IN NEUTRAL DRIVES FORWARD AN DOESN'T GET REVERSE, I JUST MOVE TO CANADA, IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE COLD WEATHER

Answer
Carlos,

If you put the shifter in neutral and it still wants to drive forward I would look at the shifter to see if the cable has stretched or is out of adjustment.  There is a cable from the shifter to the transmission that needs to be looked at.  It could be that the cold weather has cracked the shift bushings or the cable itself has broken loose.
