QUESTION: Where is the fuse which controls the rear power outlet in a 2002 Maxima?  It's not listed in the manual or fuse box cover.

ANSWER: Greg,

The front and rear should be wired together.  If one is blown the other one should be too.  Probably what has happened is the outlet has failed.  You have to remove the console to get access to the back of the unit to get it out.

QUESTION: You state that the outlets "should" be wired together.  Where can I find out definitely before paying to replace an outlet?

Does one work and the other not?  Otherwise, geta test light and touch the connector, with the key on.  You will have to be careful not to short it internally or just remove the socket and proble the harness.  It is pretty easy to remove the socket so you could do it yourself.  You only need a screwdriver.
