Nissan Repair: clutch, nissan pathfinder, clutch pedal

Question
94 nissan pathfinder rear wheel drive clutch will not go into gear it happened suddenly without any grindign or other warning

Answer
Troy,

Either the master or slave cylinder on the clutch is gone.  Usually, the slave on the transmission is the one that fails first.  Replace the slave cylinder and bleed the clutch with DOT 3 brake fluid and you should be fine.  If the master cylinder for the clutch is leaking you will notice fluid leaking inside the Pathfinder, under the dash, where the actuator arm comes through and attaches to the clutch pedal.
