Question
Hey Calvin, thanks for being so helpful to so may people.I'm absolutely sure many have saved time, energy and money because of your help so thank you from everyone.
I got my car about 2 months ago and it seems to be dragging when  i try to accelerate, the car has 57,000 miles on it and i think before I got the car from the dealer they didn't do a tune up on it.Meaning spark plugs, air filter, gas filter and oil change. So I did an oil change, and air filter which is not the original filter which i think makes the car idle rougher and the oil i only realize it wasn't synthetic until after the process was finihed.the plugs i can't reach because i need to take the head manifold just to get to the other three plugs,Could you tell me if the oil not being synthetic could have caused me to lose horsepower or should i bring it to the dealer who would change me over $300 to change the plugs only or could it be the gas?

Answer
Hi Craig -

How about removing one spark plug (the one easiest to get at) and check the electrodes, burn color, and condition. If the vehicle is not missing, or skipping, highly unlikely it is the plugs or wires.

Synthetic oil does have an affect on power and gas mileage, so I would definitely make the change.

Let me know how it goes -
