my 2006 altima gear shift lock up and i could not get into park. what makes in get stuck like that? thank you

If it is under warranty take it in.  Usually, a coke or some other sticky liquid has mucked up the works.  If that is not the case the solenoid is sticking.  If you are into it you could take the console out yourself and then disassemble the shifter and clean and lube it to see if your problem is resolved.
