Nissan Repair: 1990 Nissan Sentra Timing Chain?, nissan sentra, rattling sound

I have a 1990 Sentra 1.6 engine with 106,000 miles on it and was wondering if the timing chain needs to be changed or is there any maintenance that should be done to chain?

Hi Jasper -

Normally if the chain is not making noise (like a rattling sound), it should be OK. Once it stretches, though, it should be replaced as soon as you can. You can hear that, so if you are not hearing anything - you are good to go.
