Nissan Repair: OVERDRIVE BUTTON, gasoline consumption, freeway

Question
ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO DRIVE WITH THE OVERDRIVE BUTTON ON OR OFF?

Answer
Hi Jimmia

The OD button is designed to place the vehicle in a higher gear during freeway driving to save on gas. Normally you do not want it on during city driving because if it does go in that gear, the gasoline consumption will be affected (in the long run).

So, the answer is, off in the city, and on for freeway driving.

Hope this helps -
