Nissan Repair: Electrical -97 Nissan Quest, rear side windows, courtesynissan

Hi, I just bought a 1997 Nissan Quest GXE.  Everything was fine..until after a few days I noticed the volume control for the radio that is located on the steering wheel stopped working. A few hours later I got back in the car, started driving, and it worked.  Now it's not.  It is intermittent.  Also There are controls for the rear side windows to open.  I opened and closed the windows for a few days, now the right side window is stuck in the open position.  The switch will do nothing.

Not related, the power window master switch is probably going out.  That is the one on the drivers door.  Now, pull and check the back switch to make sure no one has spilled anything in it to cause it to short before you spend the money on a master switch.  rockauto.com or courtesynissan.com are both cheap sources for parts if you can wait.  The dealer and the local parts store are more expensive.

The radio is made by Clarion and they are known for issues with the CD player and the volume control.  You might end up pulling the switch in the steering wheel and replacing it.
