Nissan Repair: 93 maxima tranny issue, nissan maxima, forward gears

I have a 93 nissan maxima and when i put it in gear and step on the gas the engine revs up but the car barely moves...shifting it into 1st or second does the same thing, but reverse works fine??? Its an automatic with no check engine showing?????

Sounds like the transmission is in need of a rebuild.  The clutches are probably worn beyond limits in the forward gears since reverse still works.  I have had good luck with Cottman on transmission work I have had done.  Not my favorite thing to do so I usually outsource the work.
