Nissan Repair: 1991 nissan 240sx clutch, nissan 240sx, slave cylinder

Question
I recently purchased a 1991 nissan 240sx. when i got it the previous owner had had the clutch and slave cylinder and all that replaced. the only problem is you have to push the clutch to the floor for it to work. he said you could adjust it but im not sure. is he right or is there work to be done?

Answer
HI Patrick -

I would try to bleed it first. Have someone stand by at the slave and open the bleed valve. Press the clutch slowly, and while it is all the way to the ground, close the valve. Release the clutch, open the valve, and repeat the process until all the air is out.

The clutch may be adjustable using the rod for the slave or the rod for the master. Sometimes it is threaded and can be extended or retracted.

Let me know how this goes -
