what is the switch called that controls the low , medium , and high fan speed for the ac/heater? hers will only work if you push it over on high and hold it there while applying pressure to the switch. thanks for your help.

Hi Dawn -

There are 2 components to the switch, the fan speed switch itself and the resistor that controls the speed of the fan. If you have to press it down and hold it for the fan to work, then I suspect it to be the switch. If it only works on high, then replace the resistor.
