Question
Hi vON,

1991 year Nissan with KA24I4 engine. 2.4L , auto transimission.

Question: I have obviously overfilled the transmission fluid. the mannual says "not overfill". but what sort of problem could this cause?

I have carefully check the underneath. But i really canot find the draige point. Do you know where is that point.

Thanks

Answer
William,

You will kill the transmission since the rotating assembly will cause the fluid to foam.  The foamed fluid will allow the clutches and bands to slip and that is what does the damage.  Do not bother with a drain plug.  Get a coffee can and unscrew one of the transmission cooler lines at the radiator.  Now, start the car with someone holding the hose end in the can until you think you have drained enough.  Now, reconnect the line and recheck the fluid.  Do not drive it with the fluid too high or low.  Automatics are really prone to damage with this type of problem.
