Nissan Repair: 94 nissan truck lights, nissan truck, dash lights

Question
Von Sudderth,

A few weeks ago I turn on my headlights and the passenger side came on like normal, the drivers side came on after 4 or 5 seconds. Now my dash lights and my running lights are out, the only light working is the passenger side headlight.
I have checked fuses and connection, everything checks ok. I should also mention that the dash lights delayed coming on a few times before they went out.

Could this be a relay issue?

Thanks,
Mike

Answer
Mike,

The headlight switch is worn out and needs to be replaced.  Nissan uses several contact points in the switch and it is not serviced.  Just takes a screwdriver and under an hour to do.  The steering wheel does not have to come off.  Just remove the column cover and you'll see the screws that hold it on.
