Nissan Repair: power window repair, nissan maxima, hand rest

I have a 93 nissan maxima and the passenger side power window is stuck down and won't go back up.  When you hit the switch you can here it trying to move, so I was going to take off the door panel and look at it but I am having a hard time with the panel, do you have any suggestions on the window and the door panel removal.  Thanks.

Hi Abe -

The door panel is removed by unsnapping the lower part. use a putty knife or scraper to undo the snaps. It could also be secured by screws around the hand rest, door pull and the top area. Don't forget to remove the wiring for the window switch.

If you hear the motor trying to move the window, check the track for obstructions. If the motor is hot, then it could be fried and needs replacement.
