Nissan Repair: ignition fuse, starter battery, battery terminals

Question
Recently my fuel filter went out on my car.We went ahead and fixed that and now my ignition fuse keeps popping when we go to start the car. What could be causing that?

Answer
Lani,

The ignition fuse usually blows because of a dragging starter, battery terminals being corroded or a low battery.  I do not know the year of your car.  But, if it is really old and the ignition switch is worn out, the contacts can cause resistance that will blow the ignition fuse.
