Nissan Repair: 1986 Nissan Truck electrical / starter problem, cylinoid, clock room

Question
I had to replaced the starter on our 1986 nissan truck.  It worked for a while, but the quit.  The truck will not start now.  There was a click from the cylinoid the fist time I tried to start it, but no click from the cylinoid or anything now.  It now blows the 10A fuse on the clock/room lamp position immediately upon inserting it.  The headlights are bright, so I assume that it's not the battery.  How can I troubleshoot this?
Thank you!
Sean

Answer
Sean,

Could be the new starter has locked up.  You can check this by using a short wire and jump from the small post on the starter to the large one.  Be sure the truck is in neutral or if an automatic in park since you do not want the truck to move.  If it does not turn over and you get a buzz replace the starter.
