Nissan Repair: nissan terrano ii 2.7td 1998 clutch, nissan terrano ii, clutch slave cylinder

Question
hello, clutch fluid is leaking on my terrano at the rear, ive located where the fluid is coming from but i cant see what the clutch fluid pipe connects to at the rear of the car? it looks like what it was connected to has fallen off? i realy hope i can get to the bottom of this frustrating problem with your help????? thankyou

Answer
Phil,

The usual cause is the clutch slave cylinder.  I would remove it and rebuild or replace it and then bleed the clutch system.  Otherwise, it is the line going to the slave cylinder that has rotted out.  Get one from Nissan or go to a hose shop and have your ends put on a new hose if that is the case.
