Nissan Repair: 2004 Frontier A/C problem, thermo control, airconditioning system

Question
My 2004 Frontier A/C works fine for a while, sometimes for long periods and other times just for a few minutes. It will be cooling fine and then the compressor kicks out and will stay off for several minutes and then kick back on and cool fine.  The compressor is not cycling on and off and the charge has been checked and is fine.  Could this be the Thermo Control Amp (TCA)?

Answer
Eddie,

Yes, it coul de the TCA.  But, you need to check the pressure cycling switch first.  This one is under the hood close to the firewall and connects to the tubing on the airconditioning system.  Two wires and if bridged the compressor should come on.  If the compressor comes on replace the switch and you should be good to go.  If not, then replace the TCA.
