If there is no code then it is a matter of tuning the engine with the replacement of sparkplugs.  Then, check the fuel pressure to make sure you have sufficient pressure to feed the engine.  Next, check all vacuum lines, one at a time, to keep from mixing one up with another.  Basically, what you are looking for is a vacuum leak.  Next, check the distributor for the presense of oil on the optical shutter wheel.  If there is oil then the car does not get a strong crank angle signal and it will not fire the plugs properly.  This is especially true at higher RPMs.
