Nissan Repair: 2000 maxima 113,000miles, oxygen sensors, computer need

Question
symptoms, first start in morning car sputters, finally take off after 30 45 seconds, have code p0171, pings under acceleration, trans won't always shift under load, I have replaced, plugs and coil packs at 106000, rear upstream o2 sensor at 110,000 miles, cleaned maf sensor 2 weeks ago, car ran great for 2 weeks and started doing these things all over again, was going to replace maf sensor next, does the computer need reprogrammed after new maf is installed or is unhooking the battery good enough, or would you recommend something else

Answer
Brian,

Since I have a 2000 Maxima and just went through this I would say replace the oxygen sensors.  There are three so just replace them all.  I did the first one you have listed and then a week later the second one came up and then the one behind the converter went too.  courtesynissan.com is a great place to get them on-line and they are much cheaper than the dealer.  After the replacement reset your codes or disconnect the battery to reset the codes and your car will run great.  Mine has 139,000 and it was like the car was new again after the replacement of the three oxygen sensors...
