Nissan Repair: nissan cefiro, nissan cefiro, jumper cables

hi my names nick. i just recently bought a brand new starter moter for my
car (1995 a32 nissan cefiro) it has ben installed correctly but when i start my
car it will only wind, car fails to start at all. all i hear is the starter motor
itself. what do you think is wrong if possible?

I would first remove the starter and compare it to the old one.  Also, I would use a set of jumper cables to make sure the bendix is throwing the starter head out.  Otherwise it will just spin and not turn the engine over.  It does sound like that to me.
