Question
I tried to start the car the engine would turn over, but would not fire up.Is there a module or relay to stop the fire,I can hear the fuel pump working.

Answer
Hi Raymond

Assuming that the fuel system is intact, pull a spark plug wire, and insert a screwdriver into the boot until it touches the terminal inside securely. Hold the blade of the screwdriver about 1/4" away from any metal surface of the car and crank the engine (do NOT touch any metal part of the car while doing this). If there is a spark jumping between the 2 metal surfaces, then it is not electrical. If there is no spark, then check the following:

Distributor cap and rotor for carbon tracking or cracks
Replace the ignition module in the distributor
Check all terminal connections on the distributor, pull them out one by one and inspect for corrosion

Hope this helps -
