Nissan Repair: how much transmission fluid, nissan pulsar, dip stick

Question
hi 1991 NISSAN PULSAR 1500cc AUTO TRANSMISSION # RL4-FO3A-FL38 HOW MUCH TRANSMISSION FLUID DO I NEED FOR THE ABOVE AUTO,JUST A FLUID CHANGE.THANK YOU MARK

Answer
Mark,

A fluid change is about four and a half quarts.  I purchase five and when I drain and refill I check after putting in four.  To do this, on a flat level surface, check the fluid level, with the dip stick, in park, with the car running.  Then, add a pint at a time until it reaches full.  Do not over fill as the fluid will touch the rotating assembly, foam the fluid, and trash your transmission.  Too low and the pump will suck air and kill the transmission.  Really important to get the level between the marks.
