Nissan Repair: overheating, nissan frontier, electric fan

2001 Nissan Frontier V6. Engine just overheated and Anti-freeze coming out of overfill bottle. Don't' see any obvious problems.

Please check 2 things -

Thermostat - the best way to check this is to run the car for about 15 minutes. If you hear the water boiling, or if you feel the top hose and it is hot, and the bottom is cold, then replace the thermostat.

Fan - check to see that the electric fan is running. Easiest way to do this is to turn on your A/C and see if both fans are running. Secondary tst is to run the engine for a few minutes until the fan goes on. If the fan never goes on, then replace the temp switch.
