Nissan Repair: keyfob, 2008 nissan altima, nissan altima

Question
I have a 2008 nissan altima.  The keyfob is not working
so I can't get in my car at all.  It won't unlock it, it
won't open the trunk, nothing.  I used the key in the keyfob to get in, but as you know, there is no keyhole in this model now.  I called the local nissan dealer in tarpon
springs,  (I happen to be on vacation), and they recommended I put the keyfob in the port, and try starting it.  That didn't work either, nothing happened.  Do you have idea what has happened since the car is too new for the batteries to be dead.  At this point, my choice is to
call a tow truck tomorrow (sunday today) and have it looked at at the niasson dealer here.  I just don't know if they will have my answer either.

Answer
Hi Gracie -

The only thing I can think of is that if you have your cell phone next to your key fob, and you receive a call, sometimes it clears the programming for the FOB. I know it is a great problem for the 2007 Altimas, and it was supposed to be corrcted for the 2008, but if you have an early 2008, it might not be.

I assume you do not have a spare FOB? does that not work too?

Hope this helps
