Nissan Repair: location of purge valve control, canister purge valve, gas vapors

have 98 qx4, check code it came up as p1444, i was wondering if you can tell me the location of the purge valve control is? and what esle can wrong that is associated with the code p1444.

The canister purge valve is located on the evaporative canister.  It is used to vent the gas vapors so they can be burned off by the engine.  They are usually located in the back of the vehicle behind one of the tires.  Purchase one and get under the back by the gas tank.
