Nissan Repair: Turn signal and emergency flasher not working, emergency flasher, signal work

Question
I have a 96 quest and neither the turn signal nor the emergency flasher is working. This started happening this evening and I know, at least the turn signals were working yesterday. what has gone wrong here?  I am a novice, so please explain in layman's language. Besides, can I fix this problem?

Hi Umesh -

First please check the fuse. Should be located under your dash on the driver's side. All fuses are labeled for ease of discovery. When replacing, ensure it is the same rating as the one you removed.

Does only one side turn signal work? or both sides?
