Nissan Repair: Tell me about 2001 Nissan Frontiers, fuel economy, instrument cluster

Question
I want to buy an automatic 2001 Frontier pick up. It has just over 100K. It seems to be well maintained. How many more miles could I hope to get on it?(I need something to last me 2-5 years until the fuel economy gets better on trucks.)

I talked with a guy in a repair shop and he said they can go on into the 200K range.

So, how long can a well maintained Frontier last and do the have any mechanical weakness?( I read about the recalls.)

Lend me your knowledge,

Answer
Kevin,

Yes, you are looking at 200K or better depending on maintenance.  So, you could get another two years or more out of the truck.  The only thing that I know is a problem is the instrument cluster and that it just a matter of cleaning the connections if the cluster starts doing strange things.  Otherwise, the vehicle is great.
