Tires: 99 Durango tire size, dodge durango, dodge dealers

Question
I have a 1999 Dodge Durango.  I bought it new, and it came with Size 31 X 10.5 R 15 tires on it.  I have already replaced the tires once with the same size.  Can I put a different size tire on my wheels?  The driver door sticker says the factory size is 235/75R15.  I will get 31's again if I have to when I do my next replacement, but that size is limited among the tire companies, and it is usually an expensive size.  I don't do any off-road'ing and I just want a good, QUIET tire for highway driving.  What sizes are available to me?  Thank you.

Answer
Hey, Garrett
You can use a 235/75R15. Thats what came from the factory. Some Dodge dealers changed to the 31/10.5R15 to make the car set up a little. You may want to have the dealer check out the speedo. It will change by about 3%. When you are doing 60MPH you are really going around 57MPH.
