Nissan Repair: nissan no start, fuel temperature, battery cable

Question
will a fuel temperature sensor malfunction code not let my car turn over?

Answer
Hi Marci -

Yes. A faulty reading could be a no start condition.

try this first -
remove one side of your battery cable (preferably the negative), or remove the ECM fuse (computer) for about 30 seconds. Replace the cable or fuse and try to start the car and see if that code reappears. This will reset the computer and reboot the system.

If the code comes back, then you will have to take it in to have the sensor diagnosed.

Hope this helps -
